About the estate

The Falter Ego Grazer Stadtwein estate cultivates historic vineyards on the Kehlberg in Graz, where winemaking has been documented as early as 1140. In 2013, the South Styrian winemaker Hannes Sabathi recognized the potential of the site, leading to the planting of the first vines in 2014. Situated in the southwest of Graz, the steep slope lies at an altitude of 420 to 520 meters and features loamy clay soils built on limestone and dolomite rock. All production steps in the vineyard and the cellar are conducted sustainably. The portfolio includes wines such as Sauvignon Blanc, Yellow Muskateller, as well as the single-vineyard wines Pinot Gris Ried Kehlberg and Sauvignon Blanc Ried Kehlberg.
