About the estate
The Eugene Meyer estate is located in Bergholtz along the Alsace Wine Route and looks back on a long history dating back to 1620. After Eugène and Marie Rose Meyer took over the property in the 1960s, the winery acted as a pioneer and converted entirely to biodynamic agriculture following an insecticide poisoning in 1969. Today, the family cultivates 17 hectares of vineyards, with operations strictly certified by both Demeter and Ecocert for organic and biodynamic practices. François Meyer continues the family tradition in the vineyards, relying on natural methods without synthetic chemicals.
