About the estate

The Engelbrecht winery is a small family-run estate in the Kamptal region, now managed in the ninth generation with historical roots dating back to 1664. In 1967, the farm transitioned to dedicated winemaking, with 95 percent of the vineyards located in the Kamptal area and five percent in the Wagram wine-growing region. Soils featuring loess, loam, and primary rock provide the ideal foundation for grape varieties such as Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, and Blaufränkisch or Blauer Zweigelt. The estate practices natural vineyard management in harmony with the environment. The wines mature in a historic vaulted cellar combined with a modern cellar facility.
