About the estate
The Elite Wine estate was founded in 2005 by three partners from Romania and Austria within the historic Miniș-Măderat wine region. The vineyards are situated in a picturesque landscape along the slopes of the Zărand Mountains near the fortress of Șiria. Vineyard management relies predominantly on manual labor, and grapes are harvested by hand in small boxes. The portfolio features varietal wines as well as blends incorporating traditional Romanian grape varieties such as Feteasca Neagra. The winery places a strong emphasis on sustainability, minimal intervention in the vineyard, and the revival of old vineyards.
