About the estate

The Crama Maximarc estate is located in western Romania in Măderat at the western edge of the Zarand Mountains within the Crișana region. Named after the grandchildren Maximilian and Marc, the family-run enterprise is built on values of respect and dedication alongside the cultivation of native grape varieties. The history of winemaking in the area dates back centuries, featuring historical roots such as old stone cellars and vineyards that once supplied the Imperial Court in Vienna. Led by Gheorghe Cosma, who works alongside his son-in-law Marius and his grandson George, the winery crafts wines that reflect the authentic character of their origin. The maturation of the wines takes place in historical stone cellars, some of which date back to the early 19th century.

The eno directory lists one wine.
