The Earl Edmond Chalmeau et Fils estate looks back on over two centuries of winemaking history in Chitry. Today, the family manages 18 hectares of vineyards in the Burgundy region. Originally practicing polyculture alongside viticulture, the estate eventually transitioned to exclusively focus on wine production. Family-run through successive generations, the winery began bottling its own production in the mid-twentieth century instead of selling wine in bulk. The bottled wines are distributed mainly to private customers, wine merchants, and restaurants.
