Domaine La Gerbelle

About the estate

The Domaine La Gerbelle estate originates from a former Carthusian farmhouse acquired by the family ancestors. After starting out with mixed farming, the operation specialized in viticulture during the 1960s. Today, the estate manages fifteen hectares of vineyards in Chignin, located southeast of Chambéry. The stony scree soils provide a terroir well-suited for cultivating a diverse range of grape varieties under organic and biodynamic practices. During vinification, the use of additives, enzymes, and commercial yeasts is strictly minimized to produce stable and authentic wines.
