About the estate
The Domaine Jean-Maurice Raffault estate looks back on a long history that began in 1693 when the family acquired its first vineyards. Today, the winery is managed in the fourteenth generation and cultivates 44 hectares of vines within the AOC Chinon appellation. Farming is gradually converting to organic practices, with soils worked mechanically or by horse traction. The estate is well known for its parcel-by-parcel vinification, with wines traditionally named after individual vineyard sites.
