About the estate
Located in Mauves in the Ardèche, the Domaine Jean-Claude Marsanne estate has a long history of winemaking that dates back well before the creation of the Saint-Joseph appellation. In 1970, the winery bottled its first wines and currently farms 9.6 hectares of vineyards across the AOC Saint-Joseph, Crozes Hermitage, and Ardèche IGP denominations. The vineyards yield varieties such as Viognier and Syrah. The winemaking process relies on manual harvesting, indigenous yeasts, aging in oak barrels, and adherence to the High Environmental Value certification standards. The estate produces around 30,000 bottles annually, which are also presented for tasting directly at the cellar.
The eno directory lists 4 wines, mostly from Syrah and Marsanne.
