About the estate

The family-run Domaine Hersard du Fondis estate is located in Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil in the Loire Valley and has been passed down through generations. Covering 19 hectares of vineyards situated on sand, gravel, and clay-limestone soils, the estate cultivates 100 percent Cabernet Franc. The property is certified for environmental value and applies traditional methods to produce supple, red-fruit-forward red and rosé wines. All operations, from vineyard maintenance and mechanical harvesting to vinification and bottling, are carried out directly on the property.
