About the estate
The Domaine François Jaubert estate looks back on a long family history that began in Llupia in the sixteenth century and transitioned to viticulture in the nineteenth century. Today, the winery cultivates approximately thirty-five hectares of vineyards in Roussillon, located predominantly in the municipality of Ponteilla within the Aspres plain. The vineyard soils consist of silty-clay limestone soils as well as Quaternary terraces with quartz pebbles and shale fragments. Across this area, the estate cultivates eleven different grape varieties, including traditional local varieties such as Grenache, Carignan, and Muscat alongside rarer varieties like Merlot, Chardonnay, and Alicante Bouschet. The estate is managed in the eighth generation and operates according to organic farming standards.
