About the estate
The Domaine Fontbonau estate is located in Montbrison-sur-Lez within the Provençal Drôme and was founded in 2008 by Frédéric Engerer and Jérôme Malet. Situated at an altitude of around 350 meters, the property surrounded by preserved nature features old Grenache vines as well as plots of Syrah, Roussanne, and Viognier. Cultivation follows organic and biodynamic practices inspired by permaculture. A contemporary winery was built on the historically rich site, which traces its roots back through centuries of human occupation. The wines are crafted in harmony with the environment, reflecting the distinct identity of this southern Rhône terroir.
