The Domaine Duclaux estate was taken over by Frédéric Caillet in 1928 and is currently managed by the brothers Benjamin and David Duclaux in the Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu appellations in the Rhône Valley. The small family winery cultivates 5.8 hectares of vines on steep hillside slopes characterized by gneiss bedrock. Focusing on meticulous manual labor in a demanding environment, the estate produces a limited range of five distinctive, fresh, and balanced wines. The winemaking approach reflects the topography of the steep terraced vineyards and a long-standing family tradition.
