The Domaine du Puy Marquis estate was founded in 1980 by Claude Leclercq in Apt. The property spans a total of 25 hectares, including 13 hectares of vineyards situated at an altitude of 450 metres with a southern exposure. The vines grow on stony clay-limestone soils and are cultivated according to organic farming practices. According to historical records, the estate occupies the lands of one of the region's oldest wine-growing sites dating back to Gallo-Roman times. The estate's wines are regularly listed in wine guides.
