About the estate
The Domaine du Petit Béru estate is located in the hamlet of Tonnerre, where Michel Rouyer established the winery with a self-built cellar and winemaking facilities. Vinification is carried out entirely on-site by the family, utilizing modern stainless steel tanks and recently introducing oak barrels for a superior range. Sulfite doses are kept to a minimal level to ensure wine quality while preserving consumer health. The founder's daughter, Emeline, has now taken over the management of the family estate. Viticulture in Tonnerre looks back on a tradition dating back to the early Middle Ages, which was revived in the late 1970s following its destruction by phylloxera.
