Domaine des Vienais

About the estate

Located in the heart of Benais in the Loire Valley, the Domaine des Vienais estate has been owned by the Poupineau family for several generations. The winery currently farms 21 hectares of vineyards planted with Cabernet Franc on clay-limestone soils. The production consists of 95 percent red wine and 5 percent rosé within the AOC Bourgueil denomination. Harvesting, vinification, and aging are carried out on-site combining traditional methods with modern techniques, with the wines aging in underground tuffeau cellars. The estate is also certified with the Haute Valeur Environnementale label.
