About the estate

The Domaine des éléphants estate is a family-run project established in 1864 in Monthou-sur-Cher within the Loire Valley. Located on the right-bank slopes of the Cher Valley under the AOC Touraine denomination, the vineyards thrive on south-facing clay-limestone and siliceous soils. The winery derives its distinct name from former elephant statues from India that were once present near the property. The estate focuses on crafting authentic, balanced and expressive wines that remain faithful to their origin. Guided by respect for the fruit and terroir, the production process spans from vineyard management to cellar work to produce approachable wines.
