About the estate
The Domaine de Saint-Maur estate is ideally located in Anjou on the slopes overlooking the left bank of the Loire in Le Thoureil. Since 1962, the vineyard has been owned by the Chouteau family, who have farmed it for several generations. The 36-hectare vineyard features predominantly clay-limestone soils planted with Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chenin, Sauvignon Blanc, and Grolleau. The Loire river creates a beneficial microclimate that enhances grape maturation. In the cellar, temperature control systems and a rotary tank are utilized for optimal wine vinification.
The eno directory lists 13 wines.
