About the estate
The Domaine de Montgilet estate is a family-run winery in Juigné-sur-Loire in the heart of Anjou Noir, spanning over six generations. Founded in 1850 when the vineyard covered just one and a half hectares, the property now encompasses 65 hectares of vines planted on schist soils. The vineyards benefit from a unique microclimate and produce wines within appellations such as AOC Anjou, AOC Anjou Villages Brissac, and AOC Coteaux de l’Aubance. Following decades of sustainable viticultural practices, the estate transitioned to organic farming in 2024. In the cellar, each cuvée is crafted with precision to accurately express the personality of its terroir.
