About the estate
The Domaine de Lucena estate in Visan in the Rhône Valley was founded in the 1960s and currently covers 40 hectares of vineyards. The south-facing hillside vineyards feature clay-limestone soils and are planted with grape varieties such as Grenache noir, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Clairette. The winery operates under environmental certification and focuses on sustainable farming methods as well as the use of indigenous yeasts. Vinification takes place in a semi-subterranean cellar, with a small portion of the wines aged in oak barrels.
