Domaine de la Camarette

About the estate

The Domaine de la Camarette estate is situated at the foot of Mont Ventoux in Pernes-les-Fontaines in the Vaucluse, looking back on an agricultural history that began with silkworm farming in the nineteenth century. In 1960, Fernand Gontier established a grapevine nursery, and his son Pierre Gontier later developed wine grape production, constructing a private cellar in 1993. Under the impetus of Nancy and Alexandra Gontier, the vineyard began its conversion to organic farming in 2011. Today, all of the estate's wines, olive oils, and dried vegetables are certified organic. The production includes wines from the AOC Ventoux denomination as well as IGP wines.
