About the estate
The Domaine de Gensac estate encompasses a complete natural environment featuring vineyards, meadows, forests, lakes, and horses, and operates organically. The winery manages 31 distinct plots on clay-limestone soils under a temperate oceanic climate. A total of eleven grape varieties endemic to Southwest France are cultivated, including Tannat, Malbec, Fer Servadou, and Petit Courbu. In the modern cellar, vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, while aging relies on concrete vats and French oak barrels. Additionally, the estate is dedicated to the traditional production of Armagnac from classic grape varieties such as Ugni Blanc and Colombard.
