About the estate
The Domaine de Gatines estate is located in the Loire Valley in the commune of Tigné within Lys-Haut-Layon and has been managed since July 2023 by a couple who took over the property from the Dessevre family. The vineyard benefits from two distinct terroirs, namely Anjou Noir with its schist soils and Anjou Blanc featuring limestone soils composed of sand, sandstone, tuffeau, and shell falun. The wine range includes various appellations such as Anjou, Anjou Villages, Cabernet d’Anjou, Coteaux du Layon, and Crémant de Loire. A dedicated team takes care of the vines throughout the seasons, manages vinification in the cellar, and handles sales both in France and internationally.
