Domaine de Couron

About the estate

The Domaine de Couron winery is located on sunny hills in St Marcel d'Ardeche in the Rhône Valley and is managed by Marie-Lise and Jean-Luc Dorthe. The history of the site dates back to Roman times, and at the beginning of the twentieth century, the estate served as an experimental farm. Spanning 36 hectares of vineyards, the estate produces wines under the AOC Côtes du Rhône, AOC Côtes du Rhône Villages, and Ardèche IGP denominations. The soils comprise limestone terroirs, rolled pebbles, and loess in neighboring St Just d’Ardèche. The estate-vinified wines are distributed internationally, including to Germany, Switzerland, and the United States.

Export markets include Germany and Switzerland.
