Founded in 1755 by the Delhumeau family, the Domaine de Brize Earl is located in the heart of Anjou within the municipality of Martigné-Briand. Spanning 36 hectares of vineyards on diverse soils featuring clay-silica, sandstone-schist, and falun, the estate cultivates grape varieties including Chenin, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Gamay, Grolleau, and Pinot noir. The winery produces wines under the Anjou villages, AOC Anjou, AOC Cabernet d'Anjou, AOC Coteaux du Layon, AOC Crémant de Loire, and AOC Rosé de Loire denominations. Viticulture is conducted responsibly following the Terra Vitis approach, and the property holds High Environmental Value Level 3 certification.
