About the estate
Located in Riegersburg in the Styria region, the Dietl estate looks back on a history that began in 1930 as a mixed farm before transitioning to viticulture. Today, the family winery is managed in the second generation by Andrea and Andreas Kessler-Dietl. The vines grow on slopes with gradients of up to 48 percent across a contiguous vineyard area of 7.5 hectares in the Scheibelberg monopole site. Cultivation takes place in sunny south-, southeast-, and southwest-facing locations on deep soils featuring sand, gravel, pebbles, and loam. All grapes are harvested exclusively by hand and vinified into wines with a strong character.
