About the estate

The traditional Fassold family estate is managed in the fourth generation in Straden within the Vulkanland Steiermark region. The vineyards are situated predominantly on south-facing slopes in an area characterized by nearly 300 days of sunshine per year. The foundation for vinification is extensive experience combined with training at the Silberberg wine school. Through optimal vineyard management and careful, professional pressing, the estate produces wines each year that display a distinct varietal and vintage character. A diverse range of grape varieties shapes the portfolio of the winery.

The eno directory lists 17 wines, mostly from Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc. The estate sells to retail.
