About the estate

The German business Die Weinwerkstatt is operated by Stephan Pfistner in the Tuniberg region, who deliberately chose not to call it a traditional winery. The vineyards and the cellar serve as the location for the handcrafted maturation of exclusive wines. Fertile loess soils, numerous sunny days and the exposed elevated location of one of Germany's warmest and sunniest wine-growing regions provide ideal conditions for powerful, fruity Burgundy wines. For storage and maturation, the estate utilizes a former water reservoir with a magnificent sandstone facade and concrete chambers in Opfingen.
