About the estate
The family-owned Crama VIA Sandu winery manages 18 hectares of vineyards in Drăgășani within the Oltenia region, producing wines under the Drăgășani DOC designation. Also historically known as Via Baratia, the estate dates back to the 16th century and is situated on the right bank of the Olt river. The vineyards benefit from ideal sun exposure and a favorable microclimate for viticulture. The estate exclusively vinifies grapes produced and harvested in its own vineyards. The grape variety portfolio includes local varieties such as Negru de Drăgășani, Crâmpoșie Selecționată, and Tămâioasă Românească, alongside Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon.
