About the estate
The Colmello di Grotta winery is located in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region and covers an area of over 21 hectares, including 15 hectares of vineyards. The vines are situated in a protected zone between the mountains and the sea, distributed across the Collio and Isonzo appellations. The gravelly-limestone soils of the Isonzo area yield elegant and aromatic wines, whereas the marl-sandstone soils of the Collio enhance structural complexity and aromatic depth. Production focuses on continuously refining every step of the winemaking process to achieve higher quality levels.
