About the estate
The Codorniu Raventos estate looks back on the history of 18 generations of a winemaking family. In 1872, Josep Raventós Fatjó produced the first bottle of Cava by applying the traditional method to the grape varieties Macabeo, Xarello and Parellada from Penedès. The historic cellars in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia were declared a National Historic-Artistic Monument in 1976. Today, the winery exports its Cavas from the Cava DO denomination to half the world.
