Clos Saint Jean

About the estate

The Clos Saint Jean estate was established in the early 20th century by Edmond Tacussel in Châteauneuf-du-Pape within the Rhône Valley. Today, the winery is successfully run by Pascal and Vincent Maurel alongside the following family generation. The estate comprises 47 hectares of vineyards, which are predominantly situated on a terroir of large rolled pebbles and feature deep root systems. The parcels receive dedicated attention inspired by methods respectful of the living environment to produce wines under the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. Vinification and aging take place in distinctive cellars that combine historical elements with rigorous standards of craftsmanship.
