About the estate
The Clos Maïa estate was established in 2009 within the AOC Terrasses du Larzac denomination and covers six hectares of vineyards. Situated at higher altitudes, the vines are cultivated under organic farming methods and benefit from cool temperatures as well as limestone scree soils. The grape variety portfolio includes Grenache noir, Cinsault, Carignan noir, Syrah, Grenache Gris, Chenin, Roussanne, and Terret Bourret, among others. Vinification relies on gentle extractions and indigenous yeasts, followed by aging in concrete vats, Austrian foudres, and demi-muids.
