About the estate

The Christ estate located in Vienna looks back on around 400 years of agricultural history before Franz and Johanna Christ decided in the 1980s to focus exclusively on viticulture. Today, the winery is managed by Ing. Rainer Christ, who modernised the property and produces high-quality wines on the Bisamberg hill. The geological diversity of the vineyards ranges from glacial terrace gravel and weathered limestone with coral to loess soils. Well-known vineyard sites such as Ried Wiesthalen, Ried Zwerchbreiteln, Ried Kirchberg, Ried Gabrissen, and Ried Falkenberg provide ideal conditions for the vines. The estate's operations are complemented by a traditional tavern that combines Viennese hospitality with a culinary offering.
