About the estate

The Château Thuron estate is a family-owned property dating back to the 17th century, located in Pondaurat within the Bordeaux region, covering approximately 6 hectares of vineyards. The vineyards sit on a plateau and two south-facing gravel ridges overlooking the Garonne valley, featuring soils composed of gravel, clay, and large pebbles. For over 20 years, the estate has cultivated its grape varieties with minimal intervention, applying organic farming methods while awaiting official certification. The production includes aromatic wines suitable for aging under the AOC Bordeaux, AOC Bordeaux Clairet, AOC Bordeaux rosé, AOC Bordeaux Supérieur, and Bordeaux Clairet denominations. These wines are distributed directly at the estate, through the online shop, and via recommended wine merchants.
