About the estate
The Château Pieguë is located in Anjou within the Loire Valley and extends over more than 20 hectares of contiguous hillside plots surrounding the château. The soils of Anjou Noir consist of schistose sandstone and ancient rock formations sharing a similar geology with the facing Savennières vineyard. The estate produces wines such as Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Crémant de Loire, and Coteaux du Layon. Sustainable practices include maintaining natural grass cover, avoiding heavy machinery, and using sheep to naturally tend the vineyard during winter. The wide range of wines is available for visits and tastings at the estate boutique throughout the year.
The eno directory lists 9 wines, mostly from Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc.
