The Chateau le Piat estate looks back on a long history dating back to 1650, when a first building was erected by Louis Peychaud alongside the mention of viticulture on the property. In 2010, the Baillou family acquired the property located in Tauriac, which covers a vineyard area of 13.5 hectares. Following a period of restructuring and influencing cultural practices, Romain Baillou took over the operation of the vineyard in 2024. The estate's production falls under the Côtes de Bourg denomination.
