About the estate

The Château d’Orschwihr manages a multitude of different terroirs, ranging from limestone soils such as the Bollenberg to rare volcanic sites like the Grand Cru Rangen. In addition to the Grands Crus, the estate vinifies the harvest from the two main cultivation areas of Bollenberg and Enchenberg, which cover a broad aromatic spectrum. The various sites produce characteristic styles ranging from powerful and fruity wines to mineral and long-living bottlings. According to its own statement, the winery pursues the goal of sustainable viticulture that respects the environment.
