About the estate
The Château Champarel is located in the northeastern part of Dordogne in Bergerac and cultivates six hectares of vineyards using organic farming methods. Taken over in 1974, the estate produces red wines under the AOC Pécharmant appellation on a mesozoic and iron-rich limestone subsoil. The cultivated grape varieties comprise black grapes such as Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. The dry red wine is characterized by a powerful, dense structure with firm tannins and aromas of ripe and cooked fruit.
