About the estate
The family-owned Château Castagnac winery is managed in the fifth generation, producing wines under the AOC Fronsac, AOC Bordeaux Supérieur, AOC Bordeaux rosé, and AOC Bordeaux appellations. The history of the estate began in 1865 when the first vines were planted in the commune of Vérac at the Mauvezin locality by Jean Baudou and his father-in-law. Later, Paul Coudert and his wife Denise created the estate through the acquisition of land plots at the Castagnat locality. The entire property is certified with the Haute Valeur Environnementale label, focusing on meticulous vineyard maintenance and the elaboration of authentic wines. Today, the estate is led by Bernard Coudert as technical director and his daughter Lydia Coudert managing commercial and administrative operations.
The estate sells to importers, distributors, horeca and retail.
