About the estate

The Cave de l’État du Valais – Domaine du Grand Brûlé estate has belonged to the State of Valais since 1921 and encompasses 15 hectares of vineyards. The winery comprises the Domaine du Grand Brûlé in Leytron as well as the Domaine de Châteauneuf, a site set on a rocky steppe supported by dry-stone walls. The vineyards are planted with numerous grape varieties, with indigenous varieties accounting for one third of the total. Winemaking follows traditional craftsmanship within the AOC Valais, with sustainable viticulture and the preservation of biodiversity at the core of operations.
