The site's history dates back to 790 when the curtem of Tornano was donated to a monastery, followed by successive ownerships of historical families such as the Ricasoli. In 2022, a British couple acquired the property to preserve its historical heritage. The winery produces wines under the Chianti Classico DOCG and Toscana IGT designations.
