About the estate
The Casal Freitas estate has its roots in northern Portugal and is established in the area of Fernando Pó, Poceirão and Faias. The Freitas family looks back on a long tradition of winemaking passed down through generations. In 1994, José Bento Freitas and Maria Carolina Freitas created the brand to distinguish their wines. A key feature of production is the exclusive use of grapes from the Península de Setúbal IG and the selection of premium raw materials at all stages of winemaking.
