About the estate
The Cantine Capitani winery was established in 1974 under the name Trevignano Vino in Trevignano Romano on the northern outskirts of Rome. On 2.5 hectares of vineyards with volcanic soils, the estate cultivates native grape varieties such as Trebbiano, Malvasia, Sangiovese, and Montepulciano alongside international varieties. The wines are vinified either young in stainless steel or aged in oak barrels. In addition to wine, the family-run business produces olive oil and a spirit made from Sangiovese grapes. The wines are currently exported to countries including the USA, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Germany, Romania, and France.
