About the estate
The Cantina Terracanta estate looks back on a family history that began in 1959 with the establishment of Azienda Agricola Ceglia by Vincenzo Ceglia in Ardea in the Lazio region. Today, the property is managed in the third generation by Carlo and Lucia, who focus on organic and biodynamic farming. The estate comprises 15 hectares of land where grapes, olives, and kiwi are cultivated. Since 1986, the vineyards have been farmed according to biodynamic principles using hand-dynamized preparations without turning the soil. In 2019, Cantina Terracanta was established for the production of natural wines featuring spontaneous fermentation and aging in buried qvevri amphorae.
