About the estate

Cantina San Biagio Vecchio is located on the hills of Faenza in Emilia-Romagna and is run by Lucia Ziniti and Andrea Balducci. The estate cultivates six hectares of vineyards on soils composed of yellow sand and clay, overlooking the medieval tower of Oriolo dei Fichi. The planted varieties consist exclusively of native grapes such as Albana, Sangiovese, and Centesimino. In the vineyard, the winery avoids herbicides and systemic treatments, while in the cellar, vinification relies on minimal intervention and spontaneous fermentations.
