About the estate

The bodegas zamaca --- COR DE MEI winery builds upon the wisdom of four generations of winemakers within the Rioja DOCa. The family has produced wine in its own cellars since 1956, utilizing historical underground cellars dating back to the 16th and 18th centuries for aging. The vineyards, ranging from 15 to over 50 years of age, are situated in the municipalities of Ábalos and Briones at the foot of the Sonsierra. The estate cultivates the Tempranillo, Graciano, Garnacha, and Mazuelo grape varieties. Production relies on sustainable viticulture, manual harvesting, traditional vertical pressing, and aging in French and American oak barrels.
