About the estate
The Bodegas Moraza estate in San Vicente de la Sonsierra in Rioja Alta has farmed vineyards for more than six generations and holds EU organic and Biodinámica certifications. The winery building is constructed of concrete across three levels. Vineyard parcels include Los Terreros at an altitude of 450 meters with clay-limestone, alluvial, and sandy soils, and Las Tasugueras at 600 meters with predominantly limestone soils, utilizing manual harvesting. The wines undergo spontaneous fermentation using indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks, where they also mature. The producer is listed in the official DOCa Rioja registry. The portfolio includes two white wines featuring the grape varieties Macabeo, Calagraño, Turruntes, Malvasia, Grenache Blanc, and Tempranillo Blanco. The Moraza Los Terreros bottling consists of 90 percent Viura and 10 percent other varieties originating from a south-facing plot in San Vicente de la Sonsierra. The Moraza Las Tasugueras Blanco bottling is produced from 100 percent Tempranillo Blanco harvested in the Las Tasugueras parcel.
The eno directory lists 2 wines, mostly from Macabeo and Calagraño.
