About the estate

The family estate Bodegas Miguel Ángel Pascual Larrieta is located in Samaniego in the heart of Rioja Alavesa and looks back on a long tradition. The winery cultivates 21 hectares of estate vineyards situated on slopes between 400 and 600 meters in altitude, protected from cold winds by the Sierra Cantabria. The vineyards are planted predominantly with Tempranillo alongside a smaller share of Viura. Winemaking involves both the traditional whole-bunch carbonic maceration method for young wines and destemming for wines intended for aging. Harvesting is done exclusively by hand using small baskets.
