About the estate
The Bodega San Roque S. Coop. was founded more than 70 years ago in Elvillar de Álava within the Rioja DOCa wine region. Situated at an altitude of 585 meters in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, the winery cultivates over 350 hectares of old vineyards sheltered by the Sierra de Cantabria. The limestone soils and continuous ventilation at this elevation result in limited harvests of exceptional quality. Over the decades, the cooperative has expanded its facilities to include buildings equipped with concrete and stainless-steel vats as well as a dedicated area for wine aging.
